NCAA Regional Match Schedule at TCNJ Set

EWING, NJ – Dave Donn's Williams men's tennis team (15-3)
ranked eighth nationally will play at either 2:00 pm or 3:30 pm on
Saturday afternoon at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). If the
match is played outdoors it will begin at 2:00 pm and if it is
moved indoors it will start at 3:30 pm.
Donn's Ephs will play the winner of Friday's match that pits
Christopher Newport (VA) with its 19-3 record vs. St. Joseph's
College (LI) which sports a record of 11-2.
On Saturday morning host TCNJ ranked 17th and owning a 9-5 record
on the year will face 16th ranked Johns Hopkins University (17-5)
at 10:00 am.
Saturday's winners will meet at 12:00 pm on Sunday for the right
to advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals on May 13th on the campus of
Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
Rookie head coach Dave Donn has extended the Ephs' streak of NCAA
Tournament appearances to 14 in his first year and recorded wins
over eight nationally ranked teams.
Williams has advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals 11 consecutive
years and finished 4th in 2007.
Williams won the NCAA title in 1999, 2001 & 2002 under head
coach Dave Johnson.
Eph #1 singles player Dan Greenberg won the ITA-New England
Singles Title and finished third at the ITA National Small College
Championships last fall. Greenberg is currently ranked third in
NCAA Div. 3.
The Ephs' #2 doubles tandem of senior Gary Simonette and sophomore
Nick Lebedoff is ranked 13th nationally.
