NEW HAVEN, CT -- Men’s Squash fell 9-0
in their season opener against a talented Yale squad in New Haven
on Friday. The Ephs gave the Bulldogs a run for their money, but
the Ivy scrimmages winning team was too tough.
In their Williams debut, freshmen Drobetsky, Marks,
Greaves-Tunnell, Eagan, and Ervasti proved to be the solid
foundation at the bottom of the line-up that Williams needs to be
competitive this season. Ervasti even pushed his opponent to five,
proving the real depth of this Williams squad. Junior veteran
Jeremey Herrmann also lost a heartbreaker to Yale’s Sam
Clayman at the number nine spot, dropping the 5th 15-13.
Herrmann displayed the kind of patient discipline and heart that
exemplifies Williams squash.
The Ephs are looking forward to challenging Harvard at home on
Sunday.
