Ephs Drop Heartbreaker at Penn Before Sinking Navy

The Ephs played tough against UPenn, Will Morris ’12 beat
Penn #2 (and former
ISL rival) Mark Froot in five games. Both Morris and
Froot showed impressive shot-making, a real pleasure to watch.
Morris eked
out the first game 10-8 then kept up the momentum
in the second, winning 9-2. Froot, not ready to go down in three,
found his
deadly backhand drops and took the third 9-7. Froot
then won the fourth. Morris, resolving after the fourth to avoid
the tin, came
back and, in typical Wiliams fashion, grinded out the
win. Christian Henze ’10 defeated Joe Raho in a battle of a
five-gamer. Will Gruner also won, defeating freshman Trevor
McGuiness in four games.
