Successful Week of Training, Coaching, and Playing for the Ephmen in California

Bucky Marshall
It was a busy week for the men's squash team trying to balance
their time between coaching the Surf City Squash urban youth
program, playing competitive matches against California's best
players, watching the tigers fighting at the San Diego Zoo, and
eating a lot of Mexican food and many In-N-Out Burgers.
In their first match of the week the Ephs had to dig deep to come
out on top 7-2 over the crafty San Diego squad. Then the Ephs had a
series of grueling challenge matches that shifted the ladder to its
current state:
1. Ethan Buchsbaum
2. George Miller
3. Will Morris
4. Will Gruner
5. Christian Henze
6. Bernard Yaros
7. Jeremy Herrmann
8. Cameron Henry
9. Bucky Marshall
The Ephs then drove up to LA where they played the top-heavy LA
Athletic Club team. Buchsbaum played former world #7 Stefan
Casteleyn in an amazing display of the next level of squash. Will
Gruner played Ryan Donnegan, former Dartmouth number one and PSA
tour player at number three. Jeremey Herrmann overcame a two-game
defecit to win at the number five spot. Overall the squash was at a
high level. The trip positioned the Ephs to play some very
competitive squash in January.
The Ephs will return early from break to play in the Dartmouth
Snowflake open which will be an interesting preview for the much
anticipated Dartmouth match.
