Once again Stephenson's composure and ability to strike the ball from distance stretched the net beyond the fingertips of a goalie. This time he hit the upper left corner after receivng a ball with no defender in front of him and 30 yards out.
Since beginning his professional career in the MLS, drafted by Chicago and playing for Kansas City, Stephenson went to Eurppe to refine his game.
A late season addition to the San Jose Earthquakes last year, Stepehnson's contract in Norway was bought out by the Quakes and he is now a fixture in their midfield.
