Junior midfielder Gordon Atkins (Somers, NY) is going to have a lot of stories to share with his teammates and suitemates when he gets back on campus.
Atkins is one of eight college undergrads
profiled by Fortune Magazine for having beaten the recession in
finding an interesting summer job.
While Atkins’ position with the Daytona
[FL] Cubs in the Chicago Cubs farm system is an unpaid internship
he was able to pursue the opportunity through the help of an Alumni
Sponsored Internship Grant.
Atkins, an economics major, is hoping that his experience will
provide him with some valuable business ideas in the future.
