Vrla started all 15 games in goal this season for the Ephs, who finished 5-10. He led the conference in saves per game with 12.60 and finished with an 8.55 goals against average and an even .600 save percentage, making 189 saves of 521 shots faced on the year.
He also had 42 groundballs on the season and was named the NESCAC Player of the Week in April after making 19 saves in a 6-5 overtime win against Little 3 rival Wesleyan.
"Stephen Vrla had to sit patiently behind an All American/All Conference Goalie for three years, but when he got his shot he made the most of it," Ephs head coach George McCormack said. "Stephen was stellar in cage this year and single handily kept us in more than a few games.
