Morrissey, Gerbush, Cranshaw, D'Ambrosio & Hawley named All-NESCAC

Five members of the 2009 Eph men's lacrosse team (7-7/NESCAC
5-4) earned All-NESCAC honors.
Senior captains Brian Morrissey (Winchester, MA) and Michael
Gerbush (Glen Head, NY were named to the All-NESCAC First Team,
while junior Andrew D'Ambrosio and sophomores Matt Cranshaw and
David Hawley collected Second Team honors.
Morrissey, a long stick middie, has performed at an extremely high
level for the Ephs over his Eph career starting all four years.
This season he duplicated his First Team selection in 2008.
Morrissey netted two goals and assisted on one this season.
Gerbush, a Second Team honoree in 2008, moved up to First Team
status based on his outstanding efforts in goal this season.
In 14 games Gerbush logged 838:06 between the pipes and allowed 119
goals. His goals against average was 8.52 and he registered 169
saves for a .582 save percentage.
Cranshaw (Atlanta, GA) a sophomore midfielder was second on the
Ephs in goals scored and total points. He netted 22 goals and
assisted on seven more to total 29 points.
D'Ambrosio (Arlington, VA) , a defender, earned his first
all-conference honor this spring posting a standout season on the
backline of the Eph defense. D'Ambrosio was fifth on the Eph squad
with 34 ground balls.
Hawley (New Canaan, CT), a sophomore attack led the Ephs in goals
scored and total points for the second year in a row. Last spring
Hawley was a First Team All-NESCAC honoree and was named the
conference's Rookie of the Year. This spring Hawley scored 42 goals
and assisted on two for 34 total points. He also scored two game
winning goals.
