Gerbush named NESCAC and Co-ECAC-New England Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

HADLEY, Mass. - Williams College junior goalkeeper Michael Gerbush (Glen Head, N.Y.) received NESCAC Player of the Week honors for April 21, 2008 and shared ECAC-New England Goalie of the Week honors with Eric hagarty of Endicott.

Gerbush posted a .730 save percentage over two victories in net for the Ephs last week. Tuesday afternoon, Gerbush stopped 14 shots and allowed only four goals in a 13-4 win for Williams over previously-unbeaten Keene St. On Saturday, Gerbush made 13 saves in a 14-6 decision against Trinity that helped keep the Ephs' NESCAC playoff hopes alive.

Gerbush has started all games for the 6-5 Ephs and has a 7.32 goals against average and a .610 save percentage.
