Michael Gerbush Named NESCAC Player of the Week

Junior goalkeeper Michael Gerbush (Glen Head, N.Y.) was named the NESCAC Lacrosse Player of the Week. Gerbush combined for a .674 save percentage over two games to help the Ephs win the 2008 NESCAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship, the first title in program history. During Saturday’s semifinal at Middlebury against the host Panthers, Gerbush stopped 16 shots in an 11-10 overtime win for Williams. On Sunday, he made 13 saves in a 9-4 victory against Bowdoin for the 2008 NESCAC crown.

On the year Gerbush has a 7.13 goals against average and his save percentage is .634.

This marks the second time this season Gerbush has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week as he was also tabbed on April 21st.
