First year attack David Hawley (New Canaan, CT) and junior long stick midfielder Brian Morrrissey (Winchester, MA) have been named to the 2008 ECAC-New England All-Star teams.

Ephs surrender 12 second-half goals, fall to Ithaca 17-10 in second round of NCAA's
ITHACA, New York – The Williams College men’s lacrosse team built an 8-5 halftime lead before surrendering twelve second-half goals and falling to #5 Ithaca College 17-10 in the second round of the NCAA tournament Saturday. The game marks a disappointing end to a season which saw the Ephs win the NESCAC championship for the first time and earn their first ever birth in the NCAA tournament.

In a season of firsts for the Williams men's lacrosse team, not only did the Ephs secure their first automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by winning the NESCAC title, but they have received a first round bye in their first tourney appearance.

Ephs top Bowdoin 9-4 for 1st NESCAC title
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Williams jumped out to a 4-1 lead over Bowdoin and cruised to a 9-4 victory over the Polar Bears in the NESCAC finals held at Middlebury College on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the 10-5 Ephs earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The NCAA will announce the remaining teams on Sunday night.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass- Nick Fersen recorded the game-winning score with just two seconds remaining in the overtime to push the Williams College men’s lacrosse team past Bowdoin 8-7 in their regular season finale Saturday. The win secured the Ephs a place in the NESCAC tournament where No. 6 Williams will face No. 3 Tufts Sunday April 26th at 3:00 PM.
