Mike Monti enters his first season as an Assistant Coach to the men’s ice Hockey Team at Williams College.

Prior to Williams, Monti spent two seasons as an Assistant Coach and the Recruiting Coordinator for the Western New England University men’s hockey team.  The 2010-11 Golden Bears qualified for the ECAC-Northeast playoffs, their first appearance since 1999-00.  The class of 2014, Monti’s first recruiting class, collectively garnished 5 rookie-of-the-week votes from the ECAC Northeast, and their top first-year was voted ECAC Northeast Rookie Of The Year. Of the top 50 freshmen scorers in national division III scoring, 5 were Golden Bears.

Prior to joining the Golden Bears’ staff full time, Monti served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Western New England College under former head coach Chris Bernard. Mike’s primary responsibilities included opponent scouting and video analysis.

Mike spent two years coaching in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League, with the Walpole Express (2007-08), and the Hartford Jr. Wolfpack (2008-09).  37 former players during his combined tenures with each club have moved on to play NCAA Hockey.

During the off season months, Monti works for Pride Hockey School as a power skating instructor while also serving as one of their marketing consultants.
