Previously Ryan Purdy was named Second Team All-NESCAC and was one of five finalists for the Joe Concannon Award as one of the top American-born Division II/III players in New England. This marks the second year in a row that the Ephs have had a player named to the New England Hockey Writers Division II/III All-Star team as Alex Smigelski, now in the Pittsburgh Penguins minor league system, made the 2010 team.

Purdy led Williams into the NESCAC conference tournament finals while posting very consistent numbers for the Ephs in goal. The junior finished the season with 16 wins in 27 starts and compiled a 2.24 goals against average and .923 save percentage. He was a Second Team All-NESCAC Selection. On the year Purdy played 1,610.43 minutes in goal (97.5%) and fashioned a record of 16-8-3, including three shutouts. He allowed 60 goals on 775 shots, stopping 715.

Purdy's career numbers are also impressive as he has logged 3757:28 in goal in 64 games (60 starts) and sports a 2.19 goals against average. He has turned aside 1784 of 1921 shots for a save percentage of .929. Purdy has blanked 6 opponents.

Josh Harris of Castleton earned the Division II/III New England MVP thanks to an impressive sophomore season. Harris was tied for first in the nation in points (50 and assists (34) and also lit the lamp 16 times. He was named to the Division III All-America First Team on March 25 and he also earned ECAC East Player of the Year honors.

The New England MVP was coached by the New England Coach of the Year, as Castleton head coach Alex Todd reaped the honor. He guided the Spartans to a 22-4-1 overall record, including a 15-3-1 record in the ECAC East. The 22 wins are the most in program history and the four losses are the fewest in program history.

Jim Logue, an assistant coach with Boston College for 18 years, was bestowed with the Parker/York award for Contribution to New England hockey. Logue starred in net for BC from 1959-61 and has also coached at Merrimack and Salem State.
