Ryan Purdy Co-NESCAC Player of the Week

HADLEY, MA -- Williams sophomore goalie Ryan Purdy stopped a lot of rubber in a 1-0-1 weekend for his team, making 98 saves on 103 shots (.951) as the Ephs earned a 4-4 tie with Babson at home on Saturday and beat Manhattanville on Sunday. Purdy was called on to make 54 saves in the tie with Babson.

Purdy then led the Ephs to a 5-1 road win over #4 Manhattanville on Sunday, stopping 44 attempts by the Valiants

Purdy shared the award with Middlebury's Martin Drolet.

Currently Purdy is second in save percentage in NESCAC (.950) and is tied for fourth with a 2.26 goals against average.

Williams is now 3-0-1 on the year and next will see action on Friday night in Lansing Chapman Rink when they host the University of New England in a 7:00 PM contest.
