Ephs 3rd of 10 after first day of Palamountain Invite

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. -- Senior co-captain Brendan Conley led the Ephs on day one of the Palamountain Invitational with a 74. The Skidmore College golf team led the field of 10 Saturday
afternoon with a combined first round score of 295 at the Palamountain Invitational played at Saratoga National Golf Course.

Hamilton College finished in second with a first round 309, while Williams College came in third with a 313.

Skjidmore's Chris DeJohn led the Thoroughbreds with a first round three-under par 69.

"Given this is the first time we have been on a golf course since spring break and the type of weather we played in, I am quite pleased with our performance," commented Eph head coach Rick Pohle. "I hope we continue to improve as the season plays out - with our home course
(Taconic GC) scheduled to open sometime next week - we will get the needed
course time to further develop our games."

The second round will resume Monday morning at 10 am in Saratoga Springs.
