Men’s Crew Wins Head of the Charles Regatta

BOSTON, MA – Williams College Men’s Crew trounced 38 Varsity Boats to seize a first place finish in the nations’ largest regatta. Edging out archrival Trinity by just one second, the crew won its first Collegiate Eight Charles title in history.

In a poll of visitors to www.row2k.com the Williams men's heavyweight crew opt polled the Stanford women's program to win the May 4th Crew of the Week award.

Men’s Rowing Championship Cancelled

May 10, 2009
Williams College rowers were deeply disappointed at the cancellation of their final regatta of the season. ECAC Rowing Championship was canceled on Sunday May 10 due to high winds. After waiting around all day for delay after delay, the event was canceled at 4pm.

Williams Rowers Chosen for U23 Lightweight National Team Selection Camp

US Rowing has selected three Williams student-athletes to attend Under-23 Lightweight National Team Selection Camps. Andy Ward, Dan Kenefick and Katherine Robinson were all named to US Rowing Selection Camp rosters this week.

Men's Crew Makes History with first New England title since 1996

The men’s 1V won the New England Rowing Championships for the first time in 13 years. The 2V boat medaled for the first time in 10 years and the 3V retained its silver medal from last year.

Williams Varsity Men Win Onota Cup

The 1V edged out rivals Bates, Marist, Coast Guard, and Ithaca for the Cup. The second Varsity finished behind Coast Guard, but ahead of the rest of the field. The Novices dramatically finished behind Marist and ahead of Coast Guard and the rest of the field.

Wesleyan Falls to Men’s Crew

The 1V boat won over Wesleyan by just over four seconds. The 2V and 3V both raced past Wesleyan’s 2V by 12 and 5 seconds respectively. The men continue to possess the Saratoga Oar and reclaimed the Donohue Cup.

Williams Men Close Gap to Trinity

In a surprise visit to the Donohue Cup, Trinity College bested Williams College by just over a second in the men’s First Varsity Eight race. The Williams 2V lost to both Trinity and WPI and the Williams 3V fell to Trinity but beat WPI.

Men’s Crew Goes 1-2 in Varsity Fours at Head of the Fish Regatta

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – Williams College claimed the top two places in the Collegiate Varsity Men’s Fours. The new Varsity Eight lineup took 5th place. The JV Eight placed 3rd. The top Novice (Freshman) Four placed 1st, and their Eight placed 7th.

Eph Oarsmen Claim 2nd Place at Housatonic Regatta

SHELTON, CT – The Williams College men’s crew finished a strong second place in the Head of the Housatonic Regatta, their first race of the fall season. The 2V finished ninth, just ahead of Trinity’s 3V.
