Williamstown, MA - Williams men's basketball dropped one spot in the national D3Hoops.com rankings to No. 11 following its loss to Randolph Macon last Wednesday; last night's victory not considered in the poll. Macon moved up from No. 4 to No. 1 after the top three teams lost last week.
The Ephs are one of three ranked teams from the NESCAC; archival Amherst is ranked No. 9, and Middlebury is ranked No. 7. Williams will take on Amherst this Saturday at 4 p.m. in Chandler gymnasium in a game that will not count toward the conference standings. A 2 p.m. women's game between Williams and Amherst precedes the men's game. After 1,562 people enter Chandler Gym the doors will be closed; those that plan to attend should come as early as possible, as the Amherst women are ranked No. 2 in the country and the gym will surely fill quickly.
