
Senior co-captain and forward Blake Schultz and sophomore guard James Wang picked up more honors over the weekend. Both Schultz and Wang were named to D3hoops.com All-American Teams with Schultz making the First Team and Wang beings selected to the Fourth Team.
The Eph duo set a program record for most points by a pair of Ephs in a single season when they tallied 1129, with Schultz netting 615 and Wang scoring 554. Schultz’s total was 19 short of Mike Nogelo’s program-best of 634.
Schultz, previously honored as the NESCAC and ECAC-North New England Player of the Year, First Team All-NESCAC and First Team All- ECAC, earns his second All-America honor. He was recently named an NABC First Team honoree. He is a finalist for the NABC Player of the Year.
Wang claims his first national honor with the D3hoops.com recognition and few players across the land improved more than the fiery guard did. Tripling his minutes per game from a year ago Wang became a dynamic presence for the Eph who could penetrate and score and who could also fill it up from beyond the arc. He made 51% of his three point attempts – 69-136. He was successful on 56% of his field goal attempts – 190-342 and made 86% of his free throws – 105-122 (.861).

Wang was the lone Eph to play more than 1,000 minutes on the year, averaging 31.5 and he had 142 assists to just 79 turnovers. Four times on the year Wang was named the NESCAC Player of the Week.
Schultz graduates as the fourth leading scorer at Williams with
1,528 points and his 615 this season is the second highest total
trailing only Michael Nogelo ’98 in 1998 who tallied 634.
Nogelo and Schultz both won the Jostens Trophy in their senior
years emblematic of outstanding ability, scholarship and community
service in Division III.
Schultz also finished in the top ten among Eph rebounders with a
total of 545, placing him 8th.
Schultz connected on 53% of his field goal attempts - 200-380 -52% of his threes 77-148 and drained 138 of 161 free throws (.857) this winter.
