Second-Half Run Dooms Ephs in NESCAC Semifinal, 86-74
MIDDLEBURY, VT The Lord Jeffs of Amherst (21-5) beat archrival Williams (17-9) on the coattails of some sharp shooting to close the first and open the second half of the teams NESCAC semifinal match-up Saturday. The #2 seeded Jeffs defeated #3 seeded Williams 86-74 to take the season series, 2-1.

Ephs Advance over Bates, 87-78
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA In a physical rematch of a 76-61 Eph victory earlier in the season, the Williams mens basketball team (17-8) defeated the Bobcats of Bates College (13-12) in the first round of the NESCAC tournament Saturday, 87-78.

Ephs Lose 83-73; secure #3 seed in NESCAC tournament
HARTFORD, CTLess than twenty-four hours after a huge win over archrival Amherst, the Williams mens basketball team (16-8, 6-3) fell to the Bantams of Trinity College (9-14, 4-5) by a score of 83-73. Despite the loss, the Ephs earned the right to host a first-round game in next weeks NESCAC tournament. Williams will face off against Bates in a 3 oclock start next Saturday at the Ephs Chandler Gymnasium.

AMHERST, MAFor the first time since the 1995-96 season, the Williams mens basketball team (16-7, 6-2) won the Little Three title outright, defeating rival Amherst (18-5, 6-2) Friday night 89-78.

Kevin Snyder, Jimmy Bartolotta (MIT) and Andrew Brown served as tri-captains of Heritage HS in Littleton, CO as seniors, leading Heritage to the state title. All three are now captains in college.

Ephs fall just short to Polar Bears, 76-71
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA--In an emotional game on Senior Day in which neither team led by more than seven points, Williams was unable to pull out a victory, falling to Bowdoin 76-71. Despite outstanding efforts from junior guard Blake Schultz and senior captain Kevin Snyder, the Ephs could not overcome their poor free throw shooting and inability to stop the Polar Bears on the defensive end.

Ephs heat up in the second half; nip Mules 72-67
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA--In a back and forth game that saw six ties and as many lead changes, the combination of hot shooting and clutch defense down the stretch propelled Williams to a 72-67 victory over the visiting Colby Mules. Despite playing without junior center Joe Geoghegan and being out rebounded on the offensive end of the court 16-4, the Ephs were able to pull out a hard fought victory on the shoulders of Harlan Dodson and Blake Schultz, who finished with 17 and 15 points respectively.

NEW LONDON, CT--The Ephs (14-5, 4-0) finished their road trip in style Saturday, running the Connecticut College Camels (9-8, 0-4) out of their own gym by a score of 85 to 53. Williams found their shooting strokes once again in knocking down 16 three-pointers in the win.

WILLIAMSTOWN, MAWilliams (12-5) capped off a great home weekend Saturday with a 76-61 thumping of Bates (8-7). The Ephs played excellent defense and responded to a physical Bobcat lineup by getting to the free throw line for 28 points on the game.

Eph Reserves Light it Up in 96-59 Win
WILLIAMSTOWN, MAThe Ephs (11-5) repaid the Tufts Jumbos (7-7) for a 25 point loss in Medford last year by whipping up a home blowout of their own, 96-59. Williams shot the lights out right from the start, and finished the game with a sizzling 59% from the field.

Ephs lose second straight, fall to Hamilton, 62-58
The Ephs (10-5) lost for the second time in as many games Tuesday, 62-58 to the Continentals of Hamilton College (7-4). The Ephs were out shot 46% to 42% from the field and 47% to 29% from beyond the arc. Hamilton hit their first five shots of the second half and never relinquished the lead.

Buzzer beater beats Ephs, 65-62
FRAMINGHAM, MA A three-pointer at the buzzer by Framingham State (4-4) guard Darius Yarrell proved to be the difference in a 65-62 loss for the Ephs (5-2) Tuesday night. The game was a rematch of the first round of last weekends Harbor Invitational, in which the Ephs beat the Rams by 11.

BOSTON, MA The Ephs (5-1) cruised to a 73-50 win over Harbor Invitational host UMass-Boston (1-2) on Saturday to claim the tournament championship. Williams led by as many as 32 points in the first half and was able to get everyone on the bench playing time.

Ephs overcome slow start to handle Mountaineers 75-55
Just like last year, the Ephs (2-0) played their first game of the Williams Invitational against nearby Southern Vermont College (0-2), and just like last year, the Ephs emerged victorious. This years contest, however, was much more hard-fought than last years 87-38 Williams blowout, as the Mountaineers kept it close for all of the first half and into the second before the Ephs eventually pulled away for the 75-55 victory.
