Meighan McGowan & Sarah Burleigh earn All-NESCAC and All-Region honors

Williams senior field hockey standouts Meighan McGowan (Greenwich, CT) and defender Sarah Burleigh (Darien, CT) have been named to the All-NESCAC and the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Longstreth All-New England West Team.

McGowan, a forward who missed three games due to injury tied, for the Eph team-high in goals scored with five and also added an assist this fall. She was accorded All-NESCAC First Team Honors along with being named All-Region by the NFHCA.

Sarah Burleigh was the anchor of the Eph defense and a dominating presence on the field in each contest. Burleigh's tenacious approach earned her Second Team All-NESCAC honors and inclusion on the NFHCA All-Region Team.

The Ephs finished the year with a 6-9 mark that featured four consecutive one-goal losses, three in OT. The final loss of the year came in the first round of the NESCAC playoffs.
