
Alix Rorke's fourth-seeded Ephs (9-6, 5-4 NESCAC) will take on
top-seeded and undefeated Bowdoin (14-0, 9-0 NESCAC) in Brunswick,
Maine on Saturday morning at 11:00 in the first of two NESCAC
semifinal contests. Second-seeded Tufts (12-3, 7-2 NESCAC) and
third-seeded Tufts (12-3, 7-2 NESCAC) will square off at 1:30
pm.
Saturday's winners will meet on Sunday at 12:00 pm in the
championship game.
The NESCAC semifinals and finals will be available on a webcast
provided by Bowdoin and Live Stats
of each game will also be available.
Rorke's Ephs hold a 3-2 advantage over Bowdoin in NESCAC
Tournament play over the years and they will be out to deny Bowdoin
an unprecedented third straight NESCAC title.
Bowdoin and Williams met back on September 22nd in Brunswick with
the Polar Bears coming out on top 1-0, snapping a five-game Eph win
streak.
The Ephs will need to bring their "A" game against a Bowdoin team
that averages just over 4 goals a game and has allowed just one
goal in 14 games.
The Ephs are coming off two consecutive games in which they netted
three goals vs. Amherst and have scored nine goals in their last
four contests.
Junior forward Meighan McGowan leads the Ephs with six goals and
eight assists (20 points) this season. Junior Julia Nawrocki and
seniors Katherine Krieg and Cary Bearn have each scored five
goals.
