Ephs Earn NFHCA Team & Individual Academic Honors

GLEN ALLEN, VA – Alix Rorke's 2007 Eph field hockey team was recognized recently by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) with a Team Academic Award. In addition, nine Williams players were named to the National Academic Squad.

In order to qualify for the NFHCA Team Academic award a team must have a fall GPA of at least 3.0

To qualify as a National Academic Squad member a player must possess a cumulative 3.30 GPA through the 2007 fall semester.

Senior Cary Bearn earned National Academic Squad honors for the fourth consecutive year.

Seniors Charlotte VanWagenen and Katherine Krieg, juniors Sarah Burleigh and Sarah Cobb,  sophomores Lindsey Jones and Whitney Thayer were honored for the second time in their careers.

First year Katrina Tulla was honored for the first time.
