The Multi-Sport Athlete At Williams
Williams affords multi-sport high school athletes the unique
opportunity to continue those achievements in college.
No varsity team at Williams requires out-of-season practice,
enabling the student-athlete to compete and excel in more than one
sport. This philosophy is the backbone of a very successful
athletic program at Williams where over 200 varsity athletes
compete in two varsity sports and 40 compete in three varsity
sports.

| Ethan Brooks (l.) & Sean Keenan |
Over the years Williams football players have competed in every
varsity sport offered in the winter and spring, even earning
All-America honors in both sports and we fully expect this trend to
continue.
The football staff is actively involved as well as evidenced by
their coaching duties in lacrosse, baseball and wrestling.
Ethan Brooks '96 and Sean Keenan '00 both ended up in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals.
Brooks was an All-American in football, indoor and outdoor track
& field for the Ephs, while Keenan was a standout QB and the
first Eph invited to the NFL Scouting Combine.
Keenan was a valuable sixth man on two Williams basketball teams
that finished third in the nation in 1997 and 1998.
Keenan was selected one of the top 50 athletes ever to come out of
Vermont by Sports Illustrated.
