HADLEY, MA — Williams College senior Will Cronin has been named the NESCAC Special teams Player of the Week for play ending October 25.
Cronin averaged 37.2 yards per punt over four punts Saturday as the Ephs defeated Tufts at Weston Field, 30-7. Cronin had a long of 42 yards and pinned the Jumbos inside their 20-yard line once. He also recorded a solo tackle in the victory.
Currently, Cronin is the second ranked punter in the conference with a 38.5 yards per punt average. His long on the season is 50 yards. Cronin, who also plays safety for Williams, has 11 tackles, six solo and one for loss this season. He also has two pass break-ups.
Williams, 4-1, will play host to Hamilton this Saturday at 1 p.m.
