Review of applications has begun in search for new head coach

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Williams Athletic Director Harry Sheehy stated today that the review of applications for the head football coach position at Williams College has begun with the various committees reviewing coaches from all levels of football.

“We’re working our way through more than 100 qualified applicants from all levels of football trying to narrow the pool down to the four candidates that we will invite to campus over the next two weeks,” said Sheehy.

Each application is being reviewed by Sheehy, a committee of five members of the Eph Athletic Department, and a small group of current Eph football players.

The four candidates invited to campus will meet with the Athletic Department committee, the entire Eph team, the Committee on Appointments and Promotions and various other key offices on campus.

“Our goal is to name a head coach by mid May,” said Sheehy.

For the time being prospective Eph football players are encouraged to contact current assistant football coach Marshall Creighton for assistance on learning more about Williams College and Williams football.
