SERIES: Began in 1900. Williams leads 34-7. Ephs have won the last ten in a row over the Continentals. Last win for Williams over Hamilton was last season in Clinton, NY, 15-0.

Last win by Hamilton over the Ephs came in 1996, 16-13, in Clinton. 

The last win by Hamilton at Weston Field came in 1986 when they beat the Ephs 41-20.

COACHES: The Ephs' Mike Whalen (23-6) is in his fourth year as the Williams head coach. Whalen was previously the Ephs' head wrestling coach from 1996 to 2003, and the offensive line coach for the same span, including the last three with years as offensive coordinator. Whalen is 3-0 vs. Hamilton.

Whalen guided the 2006 Ephs to the sixth perfect season in Williams history, extending the Eph win streak to 14 and earning NESCAC Coach of the Year honors. He was also the only New England coach to finish in the top 25 in Liberty Mutual's Coach of the Year program among coaches in all divisions of college football.

Whalen, a 1983 graduate of Wesleyan University, captained both the football and wrestling teams while earning All-New England and All-American honors three times. Whalen's football coaching resume also includes stops at Springfield, Penn, Lafayette, and Colgate.

Steve Stetson is in his second year of his second stint as the head coach at Hamilton, where he has compiled an overall record of 13-23-1.

Prior to returning to Hamilton, Stetson coached at the Division I-AA Boston University, Hartwick College, and the University of New Hampshire.

STREAKS: Hamilton is riding a 2-game win streak and the Continentals have equaled their win total from 2006 (2-6).

Hamilton improved to 2-3 last Saturday when they beat Colby 20-0 at home.

The Ephs enter the game riding a 3-game win streak, after defeating Bates at home 31-26, downing previously undefeated Middlebury on the road 30-22, and beating also previously undefeated Tufts at home last week, 34-13.

AWARDS: The Continentals' Mark Snickenberger won NESCAC Rookie of the Week lhonors ast week, rushing for a game-high 71 yards and a touchdown in the win over Colby.

Ephs' linebacker Trevor Powers was named the NESCAC and the ECAC-Northeast Defensive Player of the Wee for his role in the win over Tufts. Powers recorded 17 tackles in last week's win over Tufts, including nine solo tackles and four tackles for loss. Powers also recovered a fumble and had a sack for a loss of nine yards.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS:

Eph QB Pat Lucey is hitting on 64% of his passes this season and he entered the season with a completion % of .687 all but assuring him of the top spot on the Eph passing list ahead of Mike Bajakian '96 (.619). Bajakian is currently the offensive coordinator and QB coach at Central Michigan University.

Lucey (347) is only the 2nd Eph QB to have 300 completions in a career. Joe Reardon '04 tops the list with 499.

Lucey needs 185 yards to move past Sean Keenan '00 (4,192) into 2nd on Eph passing yards list.

Lucey moved into 2nd place last week behind Joe Reardon (817) in pass attempts with 519, passing Sean Keenan '00 (515).

Lucey is third all-time in TD passes with 32 behind Reardon (38) and Keenan (34)
