4 Ephs named to 2008 NFF Hampshire Honor Society
Four seniors on the 2007 Williams Football team have been named to the 2008 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a 3.2 GPA or better.

Pat Lucey wins Zabilski award as NE's top Div. II-III Offensive Player/4 Ephs All ECAC-Northeast
Williams senior quarterback Pat Lucey (Plymouth, MA/Tabor Academy) has been named the winner of the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston's 12th annual Joseph P. Zabilski Award as the top offensive player of the year among New England Division II-III players.

Williams College placed nine players on the All-NESCAC Football First and Second Teams this year with seven on the first team, three on the second and senior QB Pat Lucey captured his second straight Offensive Player of the Year Award.

Williams Hosts ESPN's GAMEDAY, Shuts Out Amherst 20-0 & Wins Little Three
For the first time since 1995 (a scoreless tie played in terrible conditions), and 1991 before that, the Williams College Ephs (6-2) shut out the Amherst Lord Jeffs (4-4) at Weston Field, 20-0. Amherst has not won a game played at Williams since 1985. The win gave Williams their 45th Little Three title.

Williams and Amherst will collide for the 122nd time at noon on Weston Field in "The Biggest Little Game in America." The Ephs have won the last two meetings and own a 68-48-5 lead in the series that began on the football field in 1884.

ESPNs College GameDay Built By The Home Depot with host Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard will make its first appearance at a Division III game when they kickoff their show at 10:00 ET live from Weston Field.

Williams Keeps Rolling, Beats Wesleyan 33-13
The Williams Football team (5-2) continued their dominance of late at Wesleyan on Saturday, defeating the Cardinals (4-3) by a score of 33-13. It was the eighth win in a row for the Ephs over Wesleyan, and it was done convincingly, as the Williams defense smothered the Cardinals all game.

Mark Kossick '97 from creating highlights to filmmaking to NBA Entertainment
Mark Kossick scored a TD in his first game for the Ephs at Colby freshman year and he scored in his last game, a 19-13 win over previously undefeated Amherst, in a classic that featured a 98-yard drive in the final minutes to win. The Kossick highlight in Amherst was a second half fingertip grab of a TD pass that was seen by many and believed by few.

Ephs Win Fourth Straight Over Hamilton, 34-9
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA Neither rain, wind, or mud was able to slow down the Williams football team (4-2) in their quest for a fourth straight win Saturday. Behind strong performances by Williams household names like Morrissey, Lucey, and Powell, the Ephs dismantled the Hamilton College Continentals (2-4) by a score of 34-9.

Another Unbeaten Team Defeated: Ephs Top Tufts 34-13 for 600th win
For the second straight week the Williams Football team (3-2) felled a NESCAC opponent from the ranks of the undefeated. Last week it was Middlebury, this week it was the Tufts Jumbos (4-1) with a 34-13 win.

John Berry had a lot to prove on the football field and in the classroom when he left Washington, D.C. for Williams College. He was determined to prove that he could be an effective and winning quarterback and he wanted to graduate from Williams and gain admission to medical school.

Second Half Comeback Gives Ephs 31-26 Win
Head Coach Mike Whalen couldnt have summed it up any better, warning a victorious Eph squad (1-2) that they had been very fortunate to come up with a 31-26 win over Bates College (0-3). Fortunate though they may have been, Williams looked spectacular in the second half, storming back from a 14 point first half deficit to earn their first victory of the year.

Ephs Fall Just Short in Triple-Overtime Thriller with Trinity
In perhaps the best NESCAC football game in recent memory, the Williams College Ephs (0-2) lost a heartbreaker to the Trinity Bantams (2-0). In a triple-overtime shootout featuring a combined 86 points from the two teams, Trinity finally got the best of the never-say-die Ephs, winning by a score of 46-40.

Ephs Drop Season Opener at Bowdoin
The Bowdoin Polar Bears (1-0) pulled a stunning upset right out of the gates, beating Williams (0-1) for the first time in 16 contests by a score of 28-14. The loss snaps a 14-game win streak for the Ephs, fresh off their sixth perfect season in school history. It is the first time Bowdoin has beaten Williams since 1979.
