
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — Williams College teammates Harry Marino '12 and Stephen Maier '12 have taken their act from Bobby Coombs Field in the spring to the diamonds of the New England Collegiate Baseball League this summer as members of the Bristol Collegians.

With one week to go in the regular season, Bristol (19-17) is in
third place in the NECBL's Western Division, trailing first place
North Adams by four games and second place Danbury by two.
The top four teams in each division qualify for the postseason,
which begins Monday, August 2nd. The Collegians have a 3.5 game
lead over the fifth-place team in their division, the Vermont
Mountaineers, with five games remaining.
Maier is batting .190 with a .338 on-base percentage as an outfielder. In 63 at-bats during the season, he has 12 hits, including one double and one triple. He's scored nine runs and has five RBI. His 12 walks are among the team leaders, and he has stolen five bases in seven attempts. Maier was 2 for 4 in the Collegians latest game, a 2-1 win over New Bedford Sunday night.
Marino, a left-hander, has made 10 appearances on the mound for Bristol, including one start. He is currently 1-2 with a 2.84 ERA. In his latest appearance, he threw 1 2/3 innings of shutout ball in a 4-0 loss to Vermont Saturday night. Over 19 innings, Marino has allowed 15 hits while walking 10 and striking out 14 batters. Opponents are batting just .229 against him.
