Dan Grossman named NESCAC Pitcher of the Week

HADLEY, MA — Williams College first year Dan Grossman (Indianapolis, IN) was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference's Pitcher of the Week for play ending Sunday, May 3rd.

Grossman tossed 5 1/3 innings of one-run relief Sunday as Williams defeated Amherst 8-5 to claim the NESCAC West Division crown. Over 7 1/3 innings and two appearances last week, Grossman allowed six hits and one run, earned, while striking out seven. He did not walk a batter and posted a 1.26 ERA.

On the season, Grossman is 3-1 with a 2.52 ERA. In 11 appearances, all in relief, the Ephs right-hander has thrown 25 innings and allowed 25 hits while walking five and striking out 25. Opponents are hitting .253 against him.
