ESPN's Lee Corso Touched by Photo From Williams

ESPN's College Football GameDay analyst Lee Corso was touched when Williams SID Dick Quinn presented Corso with an enlarged photo of Corso from the ESPN College Football GameDay visit to Williams College in November of 2007. Corso and Quinn were on hand in Marco Island, FL for the 2011 CoSIDA Convention, where Corso was honored with the Jake Wade Award for contributions to college athletics.

The visit by GameDay to Williams was its first to an NCAA Division III campus. The photo presented to Corso was supplied by Caroline Bonnivier Snyder and it was enlarged and placed on campus by Quinn.

"Hey, that's a great photo," said Corso. "Looks just like me don't you think? We've got to get a photo of this."

Corso was proud to say that he had fun chucking aside the head of Amherst's Lord Jeff mascot before donning the Ephs Purple Cow.

Informed that the Purple Cow had been acclaimed the most lovable college mascot by Reader's Digest in May, Corso said, "It's one of a kind. Thank you for bringing this to me. I know just where I will put it in my home."
